Thnx Pastor Lou for hearing me. Sorry I didn’t respond earlier. Good thoughts on church in general. Even though I don’t have a church family at this time I care deeply about God’s church. Worldwide. With that in mind, like God scattered people in the story of the Tower of Babel and he scattered the church. in a way, in the first century. maybe we have become too comfortable in the pew where the formula for doing church is the same from church to church. I’ve visited a lot of churches lately. Maybe God wants us out there on the world engaging it more. Maybe church the way it’s done has become stale. And Jesus and God as I know him is anything but stale! I’m leaning into being more a part of God’s worldwide church. My giving is to organizations like the Bible project, World Vision, Compassion, CRU. My prayers reach to the ends of the earth. My conversations with others touch on spiritual things now and then, comforting a coworker whose wife is dying, encouraging the younger people, etc. I’m trying to be aware of the opportunities God brings into my day. I love your sermons Oastor Lou. I listen to them over and over again. There is no lack of good teaching and preaching, especially st such a time as this. Shalom.
What a great start for 50 minutes! Steve’s talk was deeply inspiring and the conversation among us was so nourishing, especially while enjoying Erin’s amazing cookies. It’s good to be back together again. What’s next???
